This process control database developed using Ms Access. The feature including monitoring inspection process, reporting and Statistical Process Control. At this moment supporting variable data for plotting individual - moving range (X-MR), average - range (Xbar-R) and average - standard deviation (Xbar-s) chart.

Quick Control Chart

Control Chart Button
Click on the Control Chart button to display the quick control chart.




Quick Control Chart consists only pre-determined Upper Control Limit (UCL), predefined Lower Control Limit (LCL) and value (individual or average and moving range or range or standard deviation). If the UCL and LCL are not defined yet, it won't be shown in the control chart. Pre-determined UCL and LCL can be set at the SPC Panel.

By default the chat will show the latest 30 subgroups.
Click on navigation buttons so see previous or next subgroups.

Click + or - button on the navigation to increase or decrease number of subgroups displayed on the chart.



Feature 3: Simple control chart


Simple control chart can be plotted from monitoring panel. Simple control chart shows data and predefined control limits.

Version 0.2 control chart enables the continuous view of the chart through the control button.

Saving the Predetermined Values

Save Pre-determined Value Button
From the control chart, click on the Save Pre-determined Values button.

Choose what value to change.
"From" means present pre-determined value (if already set previously).
"To" means values according to current displayed chart.
Click on Select All check box to select all values for change or click on each individual check box.
Click on Apply changes on selelected items button to change the selected values accordingly.
Click Undo Changes button to discard the changes.
Click on Confirm (save) and exit button to save the changes (if any) and close the form.

Setting Up Analysis Parameters, Viewing Charts and Analysis

Click on the SPC Analysis button.

Select date and time range.
Select item/ parameter.
Determine the sample size per sub-group.
Determine the Chart type.
Determine the start date and time.
Select/deselect to choose pre-determined start date and time (if available).
Select/deselect to show/hide standard limits (USL and LSL) in the chart.
Select/deselect to use pre-determined control limits in the chart (UCL and LCL) otherwise the control limits are base on the actual data.

Click Refresh & Show Data button every time when there are changes on the above options.
Click the control chart button to display the control chart.
Click the histogram/ normal distribution button to open the normal distribution and capability analysis chart.

Viewing Entered Data

Click on the respective parameter's List button to display list of all record for the respective parameter.

View Record Button

Click on the respective record's Vew Record button to view the details of the selected record.

Edit if necessary.

Please take note that Date and Time only can be edited in Admin mode.

Click Save and Exit button to save changes (if any) and close the form.

Click on Undo and Exit button to discard the changes and close the form.

Click the Delete and Exit button to delete the record and close the form.

Entering New Data

Click at respective parameter's New Record button to open data entry form.

By default, Inspector and Crew name will be identical with the last record (if available). Date and time is the actual date and time when the form is opened.
Input the measurement/ testing result in the Data field. Pressing tab or clicking on other field will show the result either OK or NG in the Judgment field.

Click Save and Exit button if confirmed the data entered is correct.
Click Save and New button if want to input next data for the same parameter.
Click Cancell and Exit button to discard the data.

Point Button
Click on the Point button to add new parameter.




Add New Point Form
Select parameter from drop-down list in Point field. Put a description (optional) and set the sequence to be displayed on the monitoring panel.

 Click on the Set button to rearrange the parameter sequence.

Click on the SPECIFICATION button to open the specification form.




This is where all specification of the specific parameter is recorded.
The form consist of 3 tabs:
First tab is to input the specification.
Second tab is to input the drawing or photo.
Third tab to select the related report.

Report List

The first step before entering data is to list up the reports. This is optional but when the custom report feature is enabled in future, this will be very useful.

Click on the REPORT LIST button to open the report list form.

Key-in the report number and report title in the respective fields.
Press X to close the form.

Setting up Operation Mode and Password

By default after installation the operation mode is USER.
To change the mode to ADMIN or vice versa, key-in the password and press enter.












Select the mode from drop-down list either User or Admin. Close the pop-up form by click on X button.

Default password is 12345678.
If you want to change password, just enter the new password in the Change Password field. The password must be 8 digits numeric not starting with 0.
Make sure you remember the new password.

Installation Guidelines

If you already have Ms Access or Ms Access Runtime, download the FSAsetup.exe file and install accordingly.
Otherwise please install Ms Access or Ms Access Runtime either before or after installing the FSAsetup.

Go to download page to download related applications.




Opening the Process Control Database

After installation complete, a shortcut icon is automatically created on the desktop.

Double click the icon to enter the database system.






Security Notice
If security notice prompted, click Open.










Main Switchboard
The main switchboard will be displayed.

Feature 1: Two modes

Admin mode - date and time of recorded data can be modified
User mode - date and time of recorded data automatically follow exactly the actual time of data recorded

Feature 2: Monitoring panel


Monitoring panel shows latest data with date and time while non-conformance data are highlighted in RED.

During data entry, non-conformance data will be displayed in RED while conformance data will be highlighted in GREEN.

Advance control chart can be called from SPC control panel. User can select date range for the chart, setting the predefine values (control limit, start date, etc).
